Overview

Turn a script into spoken audio with MiOffice AI’s voice generator. Enter up to 4,000 characters, choose a preset voice and language, and adjust the speaking speed. Generate and listen to the WAV before using it. Start with a short passage to check names, numbers, and pauses.

The tool uses AI to convert entered text into speech. Its configured output is a downloadable WAV file.

When to use

  • Use the voice generator when you have a written script and want a downloadable WAV to review or use as narration.
  • Try a short passage first when a name, abbreviation, number, or pause needs checking. Listen to the sample before generating more of your script.

How to use

  1. 1

Open AI Voice Generator and its linked workspace. This online AI processing workflow requires sign-in and an internet connection.

  2. 2

Enter up to 4,000 characters in Text. Choose a Voice: Sofia (Warm, Professional), Emma (Clear, Academic), Grace (Gentle, Storytelling), James (Deep, Calm), Alex (Energetic, Conversational), or Narrator (Authoritative). Set Language to match your script and choose a Speed from 0.5 to 2.0; the default is 1. If Advanced Studio and Engine are available, choose Standard, Pro, Studio, or Cinematic (described as Broadcast). If Quality (legacy) is present, its options are Fast, Balanced, and High Quality; its documented effect is unspecified. Engine and Quality availability may depend on the active workspace. Review the visible controls and restrictions before continuing.

  3. 3

Click Generate voice, then play the result. Listen for mispronounced words and pauses that change the meaning. If the pace feels wrong, adjust Speed or revise the sentence and generate again. Click Download to save the WAV. Keep a copy of your written script if you may revise a line, and check the downloaded file before using it.

Examples & use cases

A presenter preparing a spoken introduction.

Check a presentation opening

The opening paragraph includes a colleague’s name and a year. The presenter wants to hear those details before preparing the rest of the script.

Text and configured form inputs→ to WAV

Text:
Welcome. Today, Jordan Lee will share the results from the 2026 survey.
Voice:
sofia
Language:
en
Speed:
1
  1. Use a short opening as Text so the sample focuses on the name and year.
  2. Choose Sofia for its listed Warm, Professional style and set Language to English.
  3. Generate and listen for “Jordan Lee” and “2026.” If either needs a different spoken form, revise Text and generate another sample.

Expected outcome

A WAV sample of the presentation opening. Listen for the name and year before deciding whether the script needs revision.

An instructor preparing a spoken passage for a lesson.

Review a lesson explanation

A brief explanation compares the results from an initial test with a final report. The instructor wants to check that the wording is easy to follow before using the audio in a lesson.

Text and configured form inputs→ to WAV

Text:
In this lesson, we will compare the results from the first test with the final report.
Voice:
emma
Language:
en
Speed:
0.9
  1. Enter only this passage in Text so you can focus on the comparison.
  2. Choose Emma for its listed Clear, Academic style. Set Speed to 0.9 for a slower pace to review.
  3. Play the WAV and check whether the comparison is easy to follow. Adjust Speed and generate again if you want to compare another pace.

Expected outcome

A WAV sample of the lesson passage. Listen to the pacing and wording before deciding whether it suits the lesson.

A writer preparing a spoken story sample.

Check a story’s key pause

A draft depends on a pause between two sentences. The writer wants to hear that moment before preparing more narration.

Text and configured form inputs→ to WAV

Text:
At the old station, Mina stopped. The last train was already leaving.
Voice:
grace
Language:
en
Speed:
1
  1. Use the two sentences containing the important pause as Text so the sample stays focused.
  2. Choose Grace for its listed Gentle, Storytelling style and leave Speed at its default of 1 for this first pass.
  3. Play the WAV and listen to the pause between the sentences. If it changes the intended meaning, revise the wording and generate another sample.

Expected outcome

A WAV sample of the story passage. Listen to the pause and wording before using it in a longer narration.

More ways to use it

  • A course creator preparing lesson narration in a supported language.: The creator has a lesson script of up to 4,000 characters and wants to hear how its names and numbers sound before using the audio. A downloadable WAV to review against the script. Listen for names, numbers, and wording that may need a change. Text: Your lesson passage, up to 4,000 characters, Voice: emma, Language: en, Speed: 1.
  • A video creator preparing a separate narration track.: The creator has written a short voiceover and wants to check its wording and pace before using the audio in a video project. A WAV narration track. Play the downloaded file and check that its wording and pace suit the intended video before using it elsewhere. Text: A short narration passage, up to 4,000 characters, Voice: alex, Language: en, Speed: 1.

Troubleshooting

A name or abbreviation is spoken in an unexpected way.

Try this: Generate a short sample containing the difficult word and listen again. Where appropriate, try spelling an abbreviation out or writing a name phonetically. Keep a separate copy of the original script if the spoken spelling differs.

What to expect: The new sample lets you check how the revised spelling is spoken before using it in a longer passage.

The generated passage sounds too fast or too slow for the intended delivery.

Try this: Adjust Speed within its available range and generate the passage again.

What to expect: The regenerated passage uses the selected speaking-speed setting. Its pace may better suit the script; listen to check.
