How It Works

  1. Step 1. Choose the conversion settings
  2. Step 2. Save and inspect the JPGs

Choose the conversion settings

Add up to 50 AVIF images, with each file no larger than 50 MB. You choose one Quality setting and one Background setting for the batch.

Start with the current Quality setting, or adjust it before converting. If your AVIF has transparent areas, choose Background: #ffffff is white, #000000 is black and #f0f0f0 is light gray.

Check the background in the downloaded JPG before placing it in a design. The selected color is not applied on every processing path, so choosing it in the menu is not enough to confirm the result.

Save and inspect the JPGs

Click Convert. Save one result with Download, or use Download All for the batch. Open a saved copy in the app or upload form you plan to use.

Look at small text and edges that were transparent in the AVIF. Check the pixel dimensions too: large images can be reduced during conversion, even without a separate resize step.

Keep your original AVIF files if you may need another conversion later. If camera dates or other metadata matter, retain those originals rather than assuming the JPG copies include them.

AVIF conversion questions

No. JPG does not keep transparent areas. If your image needs to remain transparent, keep the AVIF rather than replacing it with this JPG output.

AVIF and JPEG encode images differently. A high-quality JPEG can need more space to represent the same picture. Compare the downloaded file size and appearance; converting for compatibility does not guarantee a smaller file.
