Read a QR code from an image, inspect the decoded text, and copy it to use elsewhere.

How It Works

  1. Step 1. Read a QR image
  2. Step 2. Use your camera
  3. Step 3. Check the decoded text

Read a QR image

Choose Upload images, then select an image containing a QR code. Scanning starts after selection. Read the text on screen, then choose Copy to clipboard.

The image picker accepts images, not PDF files. Use a clear image with one QR code you want to read.

Use your camera

Choose Use Webcam on desktop or Open Camera on mobile and allow camera access. Capture the QR code to scan it. If access is denied or the camera is unavailable, upload an image instead.

Check the decoded text

A QR code can contain a web address or other text. The result is displayed for you to copy; it does not automatically open a destination.

If no code is detected, try another image with the full code visible. Before opening a decoded link, check that its address is the one you expect.

Questions about QR Code Scanner

Use one QR code per image. The scanner returns a single detected code from each image, so it is not a multiple-code reader.

There are no QR enhancement or recognition settings to choose before the image scan.

No. Decoding tells you what the code contains; it does not establish that a linked website is trustworthy. Inspect the destination before opening it, particularly if it asks you to sign in, pay, or download a file.
